Luigi Bussolati is a photographer of architecture and light. The unique aspects of Bussolati’s work is that it explores the possibility of representing and expressing light. His work features no humans, but instead the products of humans, such as technology and other works. Some of his most notable works include Genius Lucis in which he uses archaeological artifacts to depict the beginnings of life and death according to the Sardinians, or A Few Houses which portrays some houses around the world that certainly do not adhere to typical western standards. The most appealing part of his work is the way in which it catches the eye. There is an appeal which cannot be overlooked, most notably with the lighting and elements of the photographs. The photography is calming and notably simple, yet elegant.
